We highly recommend James from Winstanley & Co Carpentry and Joinery.

We found James through the nextdoor app as we required someone with fencing and gazebo experience who could think out-of-the-box and have some creative input to help us create the vision we perceived for a secure, robust and pleasing-to-the-eye boundary for our garden. We checked his credentials and reviews as well as ensuring he had an insurance policy for peace of mind, all was up to mark.

He delivered on all our expectations, he proved to be punctual, reliable and hardworking, working around the recent storm which made the job harder and adapting to a few minor changes we required along the way. He made a bespoke gate from one of the panels which gives our fencing boundary that extra pleasing aesthetic look, blending it all together, this particularly showed his creative craftsman skills. It was a messy muddy job as there was a lot of digging, he cleaned our pathway everyday and disposed of the old fencing and garden waste. We would highly recommend James, we are very pleased with the outcome and the cheerful and focused manner he went about it. Thank you very much James 🙏🏽

James has done an upgrade to my kitchen and transformed it from a not very attractive, not user friendly room to something I am delighted with which much better suits our needs. You may have seen his updates on the work already posted and the list of tasks involved. I just wanted to add my grateful thanks to James, I now have neat units instead of an open mismatched cupboard, a dishwasher again and a cooker hood, plus he did a fair bit of other work to enhance the appearance and usability. Despite coming across unexpected obstacles James went the extra mile and came up with excellent solutions which were dealt with in a proper and correct way. He stuck to the timetable given and completed the work to a high standard. I am happy to give him a recommendation and I’m not the sort of person who is a keen reviewer. 😊
